Opening a Mastercard Call $220 Position
One of my stocks in my portfolio have been taking a hit since reporting earnings, that is MASTERCARD ( MA ). However, that’s not going to stop me from making money in the meantime. Today, I decided to pull the trigger on some March contracts, the $220 Call @$5.60. Why? 1.Technicals, look at the chart and you will see the signals on the RSI, and MACD indicators. 2. Mastercard has a support of around $217.50, so our entry level is not that compromised at all, probably a $5 or 10 down,,,vs,, $30 or 40 up risk/reward. We need this market to finish strong for the rest of the week to see our position gain some $$$. Happy trading everyone!!!

Opening Position RIMM March $70 Calls
I opened a position in RIMM today, buying the March $70 Calls. The stock was down today along with the markets, that gave me an opportunity to look at the charts and wait for the break to the upside. Many analysts are giving their input on the company, and it looks promising. I bought the $70 March Calls at $1.88. Follow my portfolio by visiting my current positions.

2010 Performance Update
This post displays all of my transactions for 2010. (Options and Stock transactions).
Over the years, I have learned that trading is a game of odds. Nothing is certain when it comes to the financial markets, and the only way in which we can consistenly take profits in to take action when the odds are in our favor. Therefore, sometimes you will see me using the volatility of the markets in my favor, and taking advantage of some day trading, and/or even opening and closing my positions in the same week of purchase for a quick profit ( raising cash, LOL ).
Remember, we can be wrong 30% of the time in our trades, and still make good amount of money during the year. “Never let a winner turn into a loser”.
Best wishes for your 2010 trading year!!!

Closing my GOOG March $540 Call
As I expected, Google ( GOOG ) rallied today, and after opening lower, I went ahead and open my position. An hour later it bounced back all the way from $529.50 to over $540. And as it did, I went ahead and cash in on my option, selling it at $15.70 for a quick day trade gain of 25%.
Also since I’ve been following the trend in the stock, I WENT AHEAD AND OPEN A NEW POSITION buying the GOOG $530 PUT FOR FEB @$3.50. Those contracts will expire next week, Feb 19. So, I have to be quick with the trade and let GOOGLE pull back once again from the $540 level. Every time that Google has tried to go above the $540 level, the stock is being sent to the $527-529 price. Let’s see if it works for tomorrow.!

Opening new X Option Position
Just open another position on U.S. Steel (X) @$2.38 for the March $46 Call. The channel for the past week has been between $42 and $47.50. If Germany and Europe resolves the issue with Greece, we can see the dollar turn around and these commodities stocks go higher. I will be updating you in the technical chart of this stock later in the week.
